The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) is a policy and action research organisation promoting sustainable development and linking local priorities to global challenges. We are based in London and work on five continents with some of the world’s most vulnerable people to strengthen their voice in the decision-making arenas that affect them. With more than 130 members of staff working with associates and partners around the world, IIED has been at the forefront of evidence-based policymaking in sustainable development for nearly 50 years.
The Natural Resources Group’s (NRG) priority is to increase local control and management of natural resources and other ecosystems by working in partnership with networks and organisations in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Through research, dialogue and action, we raise awareness of the key role that small-scale producers and local people play in maintaining their resources and help identify tools and tactics to strengthen their capacity. We are seeking two highly skilled and experienced Senior Coordinators to plan and coordinate work within the NRG including the provision of financial planning and reporting for a portfolio of projects.
To be considered as a Senior Coordinator, you must have a degree or equivalent, with a solid foundation of proven management skills of complex programmes. You will work on a portfolio of multifaceted budgets for which you will need to demonstrate your ability to lead on financial planning, reporting, monitoring and procurement processes. To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail as well as a love of number-crunching!
Able to multitask and prioritise a varied and demanding workload, as a Senior Coordinator, you will use your strong organisational skills to provide the highest quality support, at times under pressure, and work to tight deadlines, so a calm and positive attitude is a must. As this role works with a wide range of internal and external (including international) stakeholders, you will demonstrate a can-do and adaptable approach with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
If you think the above fits with your experience, skills and knowledge and are excited to be a part of our work, we would love to hear from you.
