IIED is seeking a research consultant to work on research projects on protracted Syrian displacement in Jordan.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a relevant postgraduate degree and significant relevant professional experience to apply their research expertise and gain further experience. The consultant would require having access to a laptop with MS office and a reliable internet connection.
The consultant will work with the Migration, Mobility, and Displacement team, in the Human Settlements Group. The contract covers deliverables for three IIED projects: ‘Protracted Displacement in an Urban World’ (https://www.protracteddisplacement.org/), ‘Rethinking Humanitarian Aid for Refugees as Investment in Urban WASH’ (https://www.iied.org/rethinking-humanitarian-aid-for-refugees-investment-urban-water-sanitation), and a new upcoming project ‘Data Justice for Refugees’.
We are looking for a consultant to synthesize research findings and support partners across the three projects. This will involve analysing large mixed-method datasets, distilling key themes and findings, drafting working papers and policy briefs, and supporting partners in Jordan with project activities. Please download the TORs for more information. Please note, it is not permissible for the consultant to delegate work to other individuals, unless explicitly agreed with IIED.
Deadline for applications: 3rd October 2022.
We expect to shortlist by 7th October 2022 and to speak with consultants of interest the week commencing 10th October 2022. We are looking for someone to start in November.
