IIED is looking for a researcher with significant field experience to work on improving social impacts, governance and equity of protected and conserved areas.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a relevant postgraduate degree and relevant professional experience to contribute to rapidly developing policy and practice on equity in nature conservation that is key to combating the twin crises of climate and biodiversity.
This role is based in the Conservation, Communities and Equity workstream of IIED’s Natural Resource Group.
We are looking for someone – initially on a consultancy basis – to support scaling up of IIEDs Site-level Assessment of Governance and Equity tool (SAGE), further development of related methodologies, and generating and communicating evidence on the benefits for people and nature conservation of improving governance and equity.
