Fundraising Consultant (we consider this role/s to be outside IR35)
Proposal Development Pool
Function: All groups
Day Rate: Project Dependant
Type: Ad hoc
IIED is seeking expressions of interest to establish a pool of external consultants to work with and support our research groups with developing funding proposals.
IIED works with a wide range of UK, EU and international donors. Proposal development is a vital part of our funding strategy and our engagement with donors and partners. IIED would like to engage with consultants who can work with research groups with developing funding proposals and bids when additional support is required. These requirements will vary per proposal and so consultants are encouraged to apply with a range of donor, thematic and skill expertise, however we are especially keen to hear from consultants with the following expertise:
-Experience developing proposals for funding from donors IIED works with, or is looking to work with (specifically FCDO, UK Research Councils, IKI, EC, Nordic funders and USAID, although other donor experience is also welcomed);
-Coordinating proposal development process with a large consortiums of partners;
-Reviewing proposals and providing guidance to ensure proposals align with donor’s strategic aims.
-New funding opportunity scoping, and/or new partner scoping;
To apply please upload your CV and complete the evidence criteria questions in the application. IIED will aim to contact you within 2-3 weeks to let you know if you have been added to the pool. If you have not heard from us by that time then you should consider your expression of interest unsuccessful.
Commitment and fees: Consultants will be contacted ad hoc, as and when research groups require support developing proposals or bids, as such IIED cannot guarantee work. Day rates can be negotiated and the consultant will be responsible for their own tax, pension contributions, insurance etc.
We aim to refresh our pool annually, when we may contact you to check your details are still accurate.
