The LDC Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE-AR) is an LDC led and driven initiative, which has developed an over-arching least developed countries (LDC) vision for adapting towards a climate resilient future by 2050. IIED is supporting the LDC Group to facilitate this process, supporting the implementation of the LDC vision.
The Climate Change Group (CCG) within IIED are seeking a consultant to provide support and expertise to the LDC Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE-AR) in establishing a communication and engagement strategy for a multicountry initiative. The expert should also have knowledge and experience in promoting local and Southern voices, in particular LDCs at global level. The expert will conduct desk-based research in order to review existing communication methods and conduct interviews with LDC representatives at global and national level, to listen and understand current and in-country outreach approaches, skills and resources to build upon. Based on this research, the consultant will develop a Communications and Engagement Strategy for global, regional and national levels, as well as an implementation plan for this strategy
We are looking for a consultant who has at least five years’ experience in working on multi- stakeholder national and/or international communications projects/products. A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area is an essential requirement for this consultancy.
Commitment and fees: This assignment will conclude in August 2021, paying up to £300 per working day, depending on qualifications and experience.
